The life of American music icon Elvis Presley, from his childhood to becoming a rock and movie star in the 1950s while maintaining a complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker.

 Austin Butler's uncanny Elvis is truly the center of the show. His physicality is extraordinary, going beyond the regular impersonator vibe and seemingly inhabiting the man both in terms of his charisma as well as his extraordinary physical presence.  The story is told by Colonel Thomas Parker who managed Elvis and who no doubt contributed to his eventual downfall, Parker is played by the outstanding Tom Hanks who delivers an oscar worthy performance in this feature.
