Directed by Steve McQueen from a screenplay by McQueen and Gillian Flynn, author of "Gone Girl", based upon the 1983 British television series of the same name.
In Chicago’s criminal underworld, four men die after a heist goes catastrophically wrong. Their widows are forced to clean up the mess and embark on a heist of their own — against the backdrop of a corrupt political race for the soul of the city. Veronica (Viola Davis), Linda (Michelle Rodriguez), Alice (Elizabeth Debicki) and Belle (Cynthia Erivo) - have nothing in common except a debt left behind by their spouses' criminal activities. Hoping to forge a future on their own terms, the four women join forces to pull off a heist of their own.
"Widows" also stars Liam Neeson, Colin Farrell, Robert Duvall, Daniel Kaluuya, Lukas Haas and Brian Tyree Henry.
