Broke, alone and facing foreclosure on his business, 90-year-old horticulturist - and Korean war veteran - Earl Stone (Clint Eastwood) takes a job as a drug courier for a Mexican cartel. His drug-smuggling methods are unconventional, yet effective, and that attracts the attention of the cartel boss (Andy Garcia), and an ambitious DEA agent (Bradley Cooper).
