Several years after the Na'vi repelled the RDA invasion Jake Sully and his family are living on Pandora. Things seem peaceful but the RDA has other plans, invading and capturing Pandora. Sully forms a guerrilla group to try to expel the invaders.
This blockbuster is the long awaited sequel to Avatar (2009). Peter Jackson's New Zealand company Wētā FX, formerly known as Weta Digital had a significant part in the production.
"visually speaking, Avatar: The Way of Water is a stunningly immersive experience". Seeing it on a big screen is a must. At the 95th Academy Awards in March 2023, Avatar: The Way of Water received nominations for Best Picture, Best Sound, and Best Production Design; and won Best Visual Effects (winner for this category).
